Watercolor Brush

The ideal watercolor brush has medium soft hairs (sable is reputed to be the best) that has a fat body but comes to a sharp point. They are usually round. Needless to say only the most expensive brushes have these qualities, but fortunately few brushes are required. Japanese and Chinese brushes have become popular in recent years with their own unique characteristics.
