One of the best additions to the oil painter’s box of paints over recent years has been Liquin and Oleopasto, alkyd mediums that speed the drying of oil paint and increase the flexibility of the oil film. In an age of health concerns about using Lead paints and replacing Cremnitz White with Titanium, Liquin provides the much needed flexibility to paintings that lead pigments used to provide. Liquin is thinner and a general purpose medium and glazing vehicle. Oleopasto is thicker and suitable for building impasto passages.
