Acquisitions

The word Acquisition, in regards to art refers normally to an art prize, art competition or art award where by the entry conditions may state that it is an "Acquisitive Art Prize". This basically means that the winning artwork becomes the property of prize organization, business or individuals who have organized the prize and the artist will no longer own the artwork.
