Abstract Art

Traditionally Abstract Art is art in which there is no recognisable objects such as people, figures, animals or any other real or imagined objects. Abstract Art is often called Contemporary Art.

All art has abstract elements, but traditionally art that is labeled abstract restricts itself only to the purely abstract elements, such as the arrangement of colors or shapes. While some people regard abstract art as ‘easy’, to produce great abstract art is one of the most difficult challenges facing the artist. The greatest abstract artist, by popular acclamation, was Jackson Pollock, whose ‘action painting’ won international fame in the 1950’s.

Abstract Art is most commonly seen in Abstract Painting, where many varied painting techniques and painting mediums are used such as Absorbent GroundImpasto, Resin and Texture Paste.
